Who We Are
- For over 50 years, we have served as the statewide professional organization for all licensed nurse practitioners (NPs) in Virginia
- We advocate for legislation to improve healthcare access and expand the profession
- We host an annual conference that provides needed CME credits to nearly 400 attendees and work with dozens of providers and partners to exhibit timely services
- We recognize professional achievements and honor member accomplishments
- We provide members-only resources to support our members in their work
What we do
- Increase the awareness of and the impact of the role of nurse practitioners on health care and on the professional, educational, and political systems
- Facilitate the advancement of the nurse practitioner role as an integral component of quality health care delivery through public relations, political activism, consultation, and achievement recognition
- Foster professional and collegial growth through continuing education
- Maintain partnerships with allied associations, service providers, organizations, and businesses to help improve healthcare for all
- Provide a communication system for NPs throughout the state of Virginia
