This fall, the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) is hosting an event series that aims to educate providers about Medicaid expansion in the Commonwealth. VCNP is acting as a co-sponsor of the events, along with the Virginia Department of Health (VDH), Virginia Nurses Association (VNA), the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association (VHHA), and nearly a dozen other statewide organizations!
These events will provide the opportunity for providers (and their practice managers) to:
- hear from provider(s) now in state government about what Medicaid expansion means to them, including an overview of recent policy reforms, such as the Common Core Formulary, Addiction and Recovery Treatment Services program and statewide ED Care Coordination project;
- have direct access to provider relations representatives from each of the plans, ready to provide more information and answer questions; and
- collect Cover Virginia member enrollment materials for office-based distribution.
A full listing of dates and locations is below. Please note: Pre-registration is required. To RSVP, simply click on the link for the location you are interested in. You may view the full list of sponsors and further details on the official flyer.
All events are from 5:00-6:30 p.m.
