The Board of Nursing will convene on Tuesday, September 18 at 9:00 a.m. During this meeting, the BoN will vote once more on the HB 793 draft regulations, this time as amended by the Board of Medicine at its August 3rd meeting. While the amended draft regulations define “five years of full-time experience” as 9,000 hours, we have expressed our support for the regulations as they now stand. Any additional changes to the regulations would risk further, potentially more restrictive, intervention from the Board of Medicine.

Though there will not be opportunity for public testimony at the September 18th meeting, we encourage you and your NP colleagues to attend!It is important that we continue to show our support for the HB 793 legislation and be a steady, active presence throughout the regulations process.
