JUST ANNOUNCED: A special town hall event from the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services, with a focus on behavioral health!
This year, Governor Ralph Northam signed a state budget that expands eligibility for Medicaid coverage to up to 400,000 Virginia adults. Starting January 1, 2019, adults who meet age, income and other eligibility rules may have access to the full array of Medicaid health benefits.
Join special guest Ann Bevan, Director of the Division of Developmental Services and Behavioral Health, and fellow Behavioral Health providers in a Medicaid expansion town hall, as we explore opportunities to enroll low-income clients into this new Medicaid-covered group. This is intended for community-based and hospital setting practitioners who would like to learn more about the Commonwealth’s effort on Medicaid expansion and how to play a role in helping individuals gain access to the new Medicaid coverage.
Space is limited, so we encourage you to register for this free event as soon as possible. Light refreshments will be provided. More information, to include tool-kits and resources for Medicaid applications, can be found at: http://www.coverva.org/expansion
**Individuals who are eligible for new Medicaid coverage will receive the full array of Behavioral Health services available under the Medicaid benefit including Community Mental Health and Rehabilitation Services (CMHRS) and Addiction and Recovery Treatment services (ARTS)**
